Before putting in your information to receive a quote you will want to check out reviews and ratings of this company because although they might give you an irresistible quote you don’t want to put your vehicle in the wrong hands.

You can search different customer review sites such as Yahoo and Yelp. See what customers are saying about the company and make sure there are no red flags. You also want to make sure the company has all of the certifications they need and insurance as well. You can check their websites or call them directly. Make sure the company is approved by the Better Business Bureau and has a good rating.

After you have checked ratings, certifications, insurance and the BBB you have probably narrowed your list down to a short few. Now you are ready to collect quotes. After you find the company that you want to use make sure to have a confirmation via fax or email. Read everything a company sends you before signing it. Be aware that if you place a reservation via Internet, your e-signature is binding once you click send or submit.

Make sure you agree with everything in the contract before signing. Some of these reasons are:

It saves your vehicle from wear and tear. Long road trips put a lot of miles on your vehicle. This can cause you to have to get work done on your vehicle both before and after your road trip. It wears on your tires and introduces the need for an oil change sooner than if you were to ship your vehicle.

It saves you from the aggravation of traffic delays or unpleasant road conditions such as highway traffic jams and bad weather.

It saves you money that is spent on fuel. Fuel expenses will vary according to what's happening with the price of gasoline when you travel. There are also non-fuel costs of driving, such as tolls, lodging, food, and wear and tear on the vehicle.

It saves you time. Road trips can take days whereas flying to your destination only takes a few hours. If you deliver your vehicle you can schedule it to arrive around the same time as your flight. So no time lost.

Road trips can be fun but often times they turn into an expensive hassle. While you are only 5% likely to experience any measurable damage to your vehicle you still need to be prepared. It is best if you are prepared. You can be prepared by taking these steps:

1. Thoroughly wash your car. Take note of any chips, dents, scratches or other cosmetic damage

2. Then take pictures (preferably that will have a time stamp on them) of any of the damage that you recorded

3. You can email these pictures and notes to yourself or someone else so that it is on record that these notes were made before the shipment

This will be an assurance that if any damage is caused during the shipment of your vehicle that you will be able to file a proper claim, it will also speed up the claim process.

Before shipping your vehicle you should also remove all of your personal belongings from the inside and outside of the vehicle. By outside we mean any removable bumper stickers, car magnets or antenna decor.

Make sure you don't leave anything on the inside of your vehicle, whether it's CDs or lose belongings floating around. Most companies will not accept your vehicle if there is anything that is left on the inside. This prevents any type of conflict if there happens to be anything missing from your vehicle when it arrives to its destination.

Before shipping your vehicle you will want to take all of these steps to help protect your best interest as well as making the day of shipment run smoothly.

If you need any more information regarding how to prepare your vehicle for shipment or to receive a free quote then please contact us today! Most likely, the person is moving and is need of an expert to get an extra vehicle to a faraway location. But there are also other reasons a person would hire an auto transport company. It could be that during a family move, all hands are being used for something other than driving the extra car. It could also be that a new car was purchased in a different state and needs to get moved.

Whatever the reason, there are always benefits of hiring an auto shipper. When you do actually make the choice of going with a vehicle shipper, you will need to know how to do it. There are many different options to choose from, so choosing the right option will require some research. Getting the decision right the first time can be very important and will make for a better overall experience when transporting your vehicle.

Tips for finding the right company include:

Do research locally- While you certainly don’t have to employ the help of a local company, these businesses are many times better suited to handle the job because of their knowledge and proximity to the area. Local companies are typically able to accommodate your needs and have a lot of experience in their known areas.

Find a reputable company- This may be the most important tip to provide and has to do with the company’s reputation. Doing some research online will familiarize you with the different companies in your area and also with their reputations. If a business has poor reviews from customers or the BBB, then it may be wise to go with a different company.

Find the best price- While price shouldn’t be your only motivator, when all other things are equal, you may want to go off who will be the best value. While different companies offer different pieces of why they cost what they do, many will provide a great service at a great price. This may be a big motivator for some people, and price is an easy thing to find out when requesting a quote.

There are many other ways of finding a vehicle shipper in your area that is capable of getting the job done, but make sure to explore these three options before making a decision.

Contact us today!

Oregon Auto Transport

Washington Auto Shippers

Washington Auto Shipping

Washington Auto Transport Service

Mon, 28 Jul 2014 20:42:00 +0000 admin 2622 at https://coasttocoastauto.com https://coasttocoastauto.com/tips-hiring-auto-transport-company-0#comments Hiring a Reputable Vehicle Shipper https://coasttocoastauto.com/hiring-reputable-vehicle-shipper-0

There are many types of research that can be done to find the right vehicle shipper when the time comes that you may need one. Searching local ads, getting on Google, or just asking a friend to point you in the right direction can be very beneficial in finding the right company for you. Once you have a general idea of what needs to be done, and you are in the process of finding the right vehicle shipper, you will also need to determine whether the company you are working with is a reputable one.

There are many companies out there that are very reputable and are great to work with. There are typical signs of a great company that you are able to look for that will help you in your research.

Ways to determine whether a company is reputable include:

They have the information- A good way to determine how good a company is when it comes to being ethical is the amount of information they are willing to disclose to their customers. If a company is being standoffish about their information, it may be a bad sign.

Giving you an accurate quote- Price is a very important factor in making a purchase decision. Companies will compete for your business by giving out quotes for their services. Make sure to hold companies to these quotes when conducting business to ensure you are getting a fair deal.

Having the necessary insurance- Depending on the industry, companies will have a wide range of insurance that cover damages and other happenings. Be sure that the company you will be working with is able to provide proof of insurance and can tell you explicitly what they cover and don’t cover.

Look at the BBB rating- The Better Business Bureau is a third party that tracks the behavior and ethics of a business. They give out a rating based on how well a business does in this area. That’s why hiring a professional is the way to go when you want something done correctly the first time. Hiring a professional allows you to sit back and take care of other important aspects of the move.

Have your Car Insured- Another advantage of hiring a professional is knowing that they have insurance to cover any type of accident that may occur on the road. While accidents like this are few and far between, a professional auto transport company will be aware of any dangers and possibilities that may occur. For this reason, a reputable company always carried insurance.

Getting on board with a professional will help clear up many of the tasks that would’ve been done by you or your family.

Contact us today!

Oregon Auto Shippers

Washington Auto Shippers

Washington Auto Shipping

Washington Auto Transport Service

Wed, 25 Jun 2014 19:50:31 +0000 admin 2618 at https://coasttocoastauto.com https://coasttocoastauto.com/why-you-should-hire-professional-0#comments How the Auto Transport Process Works https://coasttocoastauto.com/how-auto-transport-process-works-0

If you’re in need of a vehicle shipper that can not only get the job done, but also get the job done right and for the right price, then look no further than Coast to Coast Auto Transport. With our years of experience, we can make shipping your vehicle a smooth process.

The different steps in the auto shipping process include:

Finding the Right Company- This is the first step in any buying process and is no different when hunting for a company to ship your car. An adequate amount of research should be done before making any decision. This means asking the important questions like if the company is insured, what the process is, and how much everything will cost.

Getting the Quote- The next step is establishing contact with the vehicle shipper to get a quote. You my have actually taken care of this during your research phase, but having the direct quote with the company that you’re going to go with is important. This can easily be done by picking up the phone or going through the website.

Working out the Logistics- The next step is getting in contact with a skilled coordinator who is able to work out the logistics of the transport job. This includes setting up a pickup and drop off point, which will need to be in a parking lot of some kind. Since we haul 80 foot trailers, we cannot do a pickup in a residential neighborhood or subdivision. This will all be worked out with the coordinator to eliminate the hassle on your end.

Executing the Job- The last step is actually getting the job done, which involves us a lot more than it does you. That’s the great thing about hiring an auto shipper; you have the ability to sit back and relax while the job is taken care of. We only need you to be at the drop off point to get your vehicle and the job is done!

If you are in need of an auto transport company that has years of experience and can get the job done, contact us today!

Oregon Auto Shippers

Washington Auto Shippers

Washington Auto Shipping

Washington Auto Transport Service

Wed, 11 Jun 2014 19:47:25 +0000 admin 2616 at https://coasttocoastauto.com https://coasttocoastauto.com/how-auto-transport-process-works-0#comments Things to Take Care of Before Transporting your Vehicle https://coasttocoastauto.com/things-take-care-transporting-your-vehicle-0

If you have already made the decision to transport your vehicle using an auto shipper, and have all of your other ducks in a row regarding which company you’re going to use, then it’s time to prepare of the move. While moving a car when hiring trained professionals is actually the easy part, there are still some things that need to be taken care of before we can get it on the truck and haul it away. Doing these will save everyone time and save everyone the hassle of revisiting requirements.

While we wish it were just as simple of throwing any car in any conditions on one of our trucks, there are some requirements that we need to take care of before getting it on one of our trailers. Because our transport trucks are ten-car capacity, open car haulers, we need to make sure we get the right cars in the right order. We also need to make sure the car is operational, as we’re not equipped to transport inoperable vehicles.

Things to take care of before shipping your vehicle include:

Make sure your vehicle is empty- While you may think it’s a good idea to take out two bird with one stone by packing your vehicle with a bunch of your personal belongings and shipping it to your destination, it’s actually not allowed. DOT regulations are pretty clear when stating what it is that we can legally transport, and we are not licensed to transport anything other than vehicles.

Take a look at the fuel gauge- We prefer that we transport vehicles with ¼ tank of gas or less. This has to do with weight, as logistics is all about weight. The fuel in a vehicle can be a lot of the actual weight in a car, so having less fuel means that we can calculate our shipping costs better, especially when going long distances.

Have a pickup spot worked out- While this is our job when coordinating a pick up for your vehicle, you also may know a good spot when needing to get your car on the truck. Because our trucks are 80 feet long and 14 feet high, we do not go into residential neighborhoods for a pick up. The details are typically worked out and we pick up at a nearby parking lot or shopping center.

Once you have these items complete, we can go ahead and get your vehicle transported where it need to be.

Contact us today to learn more!

Auto Shipper

Auto Transport

Washington Auto Shipping

Washington Auto Transport Service

Mon, 19 May 2014 20:58:34 +0000 admin 2613 at https://coasttocoastauto.com https://coasttocoastauto.com/things-take-care-transporting-your-vehicle-0#comments
